Moved!

It has been such a long time since I last updated my blog. I just decided to take some time off so I could marry to that cute kid in the picture below in the Christmas sweater. After this merger, I decided to make a new site to include my other half so that I don't look selfish. Our new blog is www.kssfam.blogspot.com.

Happy New Year!

My Ugly Christmas Sweater Has BO

For our First Annual Ward Ugly Christmas Sweater Party 2009, I got this AMAZINGLY ugly Christmas sweater from the DI. Only problem was it smelled so bad of BO...more like BBO, that I could not stand to even wear it. It smelled as if the sweater was yanked off of someone's dead grandma that had been discovered months after her ticker stopped ticking. No matter how long I soaked that thing, the stench would not go away. Therefore I had to settle for a less ugly sweater to wear to the party. It was complete with a sweet turtleneck with holly berries all over it. HOT, I know...and what is even HOTTER, was Kyle's sexy little number.

He was the overall winner that night. Which was nice because I benefited from his winnings...A date to Cafe Rio, and Ice Cream. It was wonderful.

I especially loved the mustache and sombrero the prize came with.

Overall the party was tons of fun...I think this will become a tradition of my own for years to come.

Feliz Navidad!

Best Homemade Costume 2009 Award Winner

2 plastic punch bowls...$14
Red metallic and silver metallic fabric...$20
Styrofoam balls and paint...$15
BYU 8th Stake"Best Halloween Costume 2009 Winner"...Priceless

Gumball anyone? Insert 25 cents here.

Stake Trunk-or-Treat. My roommate Chelsea was Violet Incredible.

This was taken at the Carriage Cove Halloween Party at Classic Skating. It was fun, although I almost biffed it several times because I had very little range of motion with the pool noodle at the bottom of my costume. I never realized how different roller skates were compared to roller blades. It was so hard! HOW did we use those back in the day?

I LOVE Halloween. I hope yours was great! Some more good news...my little nephew got to come home from the hospital today. He was born 2 1/2 months early at 3lbs. What a little champ. He is doing great now! And he is such a cutie! Here are some pictures of him when he was first born.

Finger Foods

I LOVE Halloween!!! I think it is such a fun holiday. My family has always been really into it. This is my roommate Chelsea, learning from the master of Halloween goodie making (Moi). We had a blast making little monster fingers to hand out to our friends.

Tah-dah!!! Here's how they turned out...

From the left: Witch, Werewolf, Mummy, Frankenstein

We attached a little poem to go along with the chocolate dipped pretzel fingers.
Halloween comes but once a year
spreading excitement and horror, fun and fear.
When witches are flying around on their brooms,
Mummies are rising from their dark, dreary tombs.
Only once a year do these creatures some out
Along with goblins and werewolves, creatures and lout.
So don't miss out on this delectable treat...
"Finger Foods" for you to eat.
Happy Halloween!

Living Proof

I was filling up my car at the Chevron by my apartment and after I washed my front windshield, I turned around to check the gas pump and this nasty biker dude is standing near the back of my car staring at me.

Biker Dude: You are living proof that there is a God!
Me: (shocked) Uhmmm...
Biker Dude: ...And your husband knows it!
Me: Yep he does. Bye.

And then I ran to my car, got in, and drove away forgetting to close my gas cap.
CREEPY AS HELL!!!

Little Moments

I went on an awesome date last night to the Brad Paisley concert. (I have to admit this is my first concert I had ever been to). The weather was perfect. A few fatty rain drops here and there, but only for a few minutes. Lightning flashed across the sky giving an even cooler effect on the whole concert. I really enjoyed every bit of it.

Brad Paisley rockin' out on his guitar.

And the best part of it was this good-lookin' guy let me take a picture with him :)

Jackson Hole

WHY did I choose to go to Jackson Hole?

Because I've never been there...that's why.

These archways were made all out of antlers. (Don't look at the loner standing under the arch. I hate taking pictures by myself)

Me at the bottom of the totem pole...just like my job ;) The carvings were amazing to look at though.

It was a quaint little town complete with country western treasures...my fav :) Although I didn't return home with these babies...

(Python Boots. They were pretty sweet.)

But at least I did come home with a really cute belt and belt buckle.

Along the way, I passed by my dream house. It was so gorgeous that I had to take pictures of it. I hope the homeowners weren't creeped out by that.

It was such a short trip, but lots of fun. I wish it had been a little longer so my friend and I could have done some horseback riding. Maybe next time...anyone want to go? :)
