Life's a Beach

A MUCH needed vacation...

I had a blast the last week of august. I went and stayed with my extended fam in Oceanside, CA. We beached all day and played cards all night. That's how we roll. After they all left I headed up to Newport Beach (my favorite place) to hang out a bit. I'm sad to say that I forgot to go and get a frozen banana. You can't go to Newport Beach and NOT get a frozen banana...look how scrumtrulescent this looks!

(Banana frozen on a stick, dipped in chocolate, and rolled in nuts. It's to die for)

Next on the itinerary...

I went to dinner with one of my friends, but i had just come from the beach so i had to change clothes and freshen up in the restaurant's bathroom. I felt like a hobo as everyone was staring at me trying to get ready in a public bathroom (makeup and all) in 15 minutes. Although I wasn't the center of attention when 3 other girls crammed into one stall and all you could hear duct tape and giggling. All I know is that one of those girls is not going to have fun ripping that tape off. "Hey chica...ever heard of one of these?"

After dinner we sneaked into a hoity-toity resort, "The Montage Resort and Hotel." It was gorgeous! And so much fun to just relax in the lapse of luxury...complete with making fun of the rich people. The men would try to make themselves look like they were the cat's meow and the gold diggers would lap up the $300 meal they were eating. Sounds like fun. One guy actually used the pickup line, "Wow, I think we had the same divorce lawyer!" The sad thing...it worked. What is wrong with rich people?

All in all...I had a great vacation. My last hoorah at the beach for the year. Sad day :'(

What?

So a little update on my injury status...

BAD NEWS: I have conductive hearing loss in my left ear now due to the head trauma. It is extremely annoying that I have to constantly ask people to repeat themselves. Note to everyone: speak clearly, or you will have to repeat yourself. AND I'm pretty sure I broke my pinky finger when I fell on it. It kills...more than a sprain kills. Why am I the accident-prone one in my family?

GOOD NEWS: Possibly correctable, so I hope I will get rid of this constant ringing in my ear and restore my hearing.
